Jeff Conaway has gone away

Our very own Grim Reaper Dennis Barnidge has taken another one of his team. Jeff Conaway, who's mostly known to the current generation as the whacked-out nut job on Celebrity Rehab, has taken his nuttiness to the pearly gates.

With Kenickie's passing, the Hunters add another 40 points for a grand total of 305 points!

That, my friends, is a bone yard worth of bodies.

Remember our year is coming to a close at the end of July. Barring anything crazy, Dennis has all but snatched the Coffin Trophy from our defending champ Mike Yaremko.

We'll have an exchanging of trophies at some point in the first week of August if everyone is agreeable to remain in this little dance of death we've got going for another year.

Seve now on the 19th green

Spanish golf legend Seve Ballesteros died last night from complications of a brain tumor. He was 54. Ballesteros revolutionized European golf and gave it a charge that had no been in seen in a long time, maybe ever. So we can, in part, blame him for Colin Montgomery and Sergio.

He won the Masters at 23 and captured the British Open three times. Ballesteros also dominated the Ryder Cup as he went 11-2-2 in his career.

With his passing that means Dead Man Stalking AKA yours truly has finally put a tally up on the board. It's a long way from 46 points to the gaudy number The Hunters are carrying but maybe Tila Tequila can finally have that drug overdose we've been waiting on!

Osama bin Laden dead

The most wanted man on the face of the earth is finally in the dirt ... or at least floating in the ocean with Big Pussy and sleeping with the fishes like Luca Brasi. He was generally believed to be 54.
Osama bin Laden was worth a stout 46 points and those go to none other than our very own Grim Reaper himself Dennis Barnidge, AKA the Hunters. Bin Laden was taken out on May 1st, making him the first death of the 4th quarter. That's right Deadpoolers, we're in the home stretch but this race has long since been decided barring Justin Bieber taking a header off the Statue of Liberty.

Dennis and his Hunters are well ahead of the field with 265 total points. He won the third quarter by a mile and is well on his way to sweeping the money and collecting the coffin from our defending champ Mike Yaremko.

Keep in mind that with our scoring system there will be no fourth quarter winner. Total points decides this last 3 month stretch.

With that said let's all start kicking around the idea of getting together the first week of August to celebrate our champ and begin Year 3 with the annual draft.

Adios Elizabeth Taylor

One of Hollywood's brightest stars went to the stars today. Elizabeth Taylor kicked the bucket at a surprisingly young 79. As someone who's never seen a moment of her during her prime, I'm left to read the obituaries about how well regarded she was as a talent.
I just know that she married and divorced like George Steinbrenner and Billy Martin.
With her departure she scores a solid 21 points to Mark Rolf.

Dennis is still, by far and away, our top scorer. But it's nice to score points in this dance. Only a handful of us have so far.

Nate Dogg gone but not forgotten

R&B singer and master of the West Coast gangster rap hook Nate Dogg died Tuesday, he was 41 years old. The platinum selling artist was a chart-topping monster when the West Coast rap scene exploded in the early 90's as he was part of the infamous Death Row Records which featured such juggernauts as Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre among others.
It should come as no surprise to learn that our very own Grim Reaper aka Dennis Barnidge aka the Hunters was the proud owner of Nate Dogg. This marks the first death of our 3rd quarter (slated to end in April). Nate Dogg scores the Hunters a whopping 59 points.
He joins Anne Francis (20 points), Mick Karn (48 points), Laurent Fignon (50 points) and Simon MacCorkindale (42 points) as members of the Hunters who have died this season.
Add it up and it's not hard to see who's running away with this little dance of death we've got going on. The Hunters have a commanding 219 points.

Slipping through the cracks

Thanks to the attentive Pat Martin (the proud manager of Charge To the Light Brigade) we have another reported death.
Anne Francis died at the beginning of January. She is on the Hunters (aka Dennis Barnidge) roster. She was good for 20 which vaults Dennis into a commanding second quarter league.
I don't know what it is about Dennis's touch but it sure seems like he should be wearing a hood and carrying a scythe.
The updated standings look like this:
The Hunters: 68
Brother Paul: 39
Everyone else: 0
